We have been practicing Osteopathy for the past 30 years and we have noticed that more and more of our patients are presenting with pain which is either aggravated or caused by the way in which they sit at their computer. Many times, they are not initially aware that this sitting position has been playing a role in their pain. This seems true for the office worker, the student and patients who only occasionally use the computer.
It is vital for many people that this is looked at to help them resolve their aches and pains. Quite often we are told that the workstation has been checked by someone at work, often a colleague. However, we find that having it looked at by an Osteopath who is trained to look at possible strain areas on your body can make a big difference. It is often easy and cheap to make a few changes and adjustments to the workstation to adapt it for your individual needs.
